Bashar Fakhry

Bashar Fakhry (he/him) is a Student Employment Associate with the Center for Career Services and a previous part-time faculty member. In 2020, he graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Sociology. After working within the Residential Life department during his college career, as well as having lived in many diverse countries growing up. Bashar has had the opportunity to work with students from many diverse backgrounds and help them balance their career growth, responsibilities and academic achievements overall.

From working with embassies in translation to working with Disney in their business sector. Bashar’s diverse work experience has resulted in adaptive approaches in his career to promote the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion within every academic and social space.
