Ify Ekott

Ify Ekott has been a POD 2 Advisor in the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences since April 2025. Prior to GWU, Ify held numerous positions as a graduate student while pursuing her Master of Arts in International and Multicultural Education at the University of San Francisco; including, Graduate Student Assistant for the Office of Sponsored Programs, Resident Minister with University Ministry, and Project Success Coach with the Learning, Writing, and Speaking Center. Ify was born in Nigeria, but has since grown up around the world, most notably, Beijing, China. She earned a Bachelor of Science from SUNY Binghamton in Biochemistry and went on to teach Biology to senior secondary school students in Abuja, Nigeria. When she isn't working at CCAS, Ify is exploring the DC and MD area, trying new food, catching up on sleep while pretending to watch a show, or reading a good book.
