Mya' Lesley-Drakeford

Mya’ Lesley-Drakeford has been the Diversity Program Manager for the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences since March 2022. Before coming to GWU, Mya’ worked at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, as the Coordinator for Diversity and Multicultural Retention.

Mya’ loves to say that she is Midwest (Chicago) born and Southern(Atlanta) raised. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations from Western Carolina University and a Master of Arts degree in Educational Administration, specialization in Student Affairs from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Mya’ loves traveling to new countries, states, and cities, hanging with friends and family, watching sports(especially basketball), and binge-watching comfort shows.
