Richard Owens joined the CCAS Advising team in July 2017 as an Undergraduate Academic Advisor in POD 2. Richard received his M.A. in Higher Education Policy and Finance from George Washington University and a B.A. in Classical Civilizations, Latin, and English from Indiana University - Bloomington. Prior to joining CCAS, Richard worked in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at GW where he served as an representatives for the Midwest, managed the readmission application process, and oversaw the GW: Final Look program. Originally from Virginia, Richard moved to DC to be closer to family and friends. Richard loves to practice yoga and run in his spare time. His most recent hobbies, though, include hot yoga and teaching Latin at the local library.

Interests: Marathon training, reading biographies, tennis, hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains, exploring the Smithsonian
