Eligibility and Application Requirements

Eligibility

In order to apply to the program, CCAS students must be:

- In the spring semester of their freshman year

- In good disciplinary standing

- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0

Please note that selection for the Global Bachelor’s Program is competitive. Simply meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee selection for this program.

The Global Bachelor’s Program is open to CCAS students in all majors, assuming that the academic plan demonstrates that all the requirements of the program can be met.

Due to changes in Fudan University’s admission requirements, students of Chinese nationality (including mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan) will no longer be able to attend Fudan University through the Global Bachelor's Program Shanghai track.

If you have questions about your eligibility to apply or the application process, please contact your POD advisor or the Office for Study Abroad.

Application Requirements

Students can apply for the program using GW Passport through the Office for Study Abroad. The Global Bachelor’s application page on Passport details all of the necessary application materials, including an unofficial transcript, personal statement, and approved four-year academic plan.

CCAS students who are interested in learning more about the Global Bachelor’s Program must connect with the designated Global Bachelor’s advisor for their CCAS Advising POD:

POD 1: Lisa Mangiarelli ([email protected])

POD 2: Stephen Britt ([email protected])

POD 3: Abbie Weiner ([email protected])

Students must meet with their POD Global Bachelor’s advisor prior to submitting the application in order to review a four-year plan that includes the student’s intended degree coursework. Please note that first drafts of all four-year plans must be submitted in advance to your POD Global Bachelor’s advisor to permit any necessary revisions. First drafts of academic plans that are not submitted by February 21st are not guaranteed review.

Students can schedule an appointment with their POD Global Bachelor’s advisor through the CCAS Advising website. Students should select “specific advisor preference” to meet with the Global Bachelor’s advisor for their POD. In your appointment booking, please mention “Global Bachelor’s Program” in the “Additional Comments” section.

The application deadline for both the Shanghai and Belfast programs is March 15th.
