How many tickets do students get for Commencement?

6 tickets.

How many tickets do students get for Celebration?

6 tickets.

How do I request extra tickets for the University Commencement Ceremony?

Students can sign-up on the wait-list for additional Commencement tickets here.

How do I request extra Celebration tickets?

Unfortunately we cannot accommodate requests for additional Celebration tickets. We recommend that students ask around to their peers in the same ceremony to see if they will have any extras. We should also have overflow seating available if students are unable to find any additional tickets.

If I'm a Summer or Fall graduate, how do I get my tickets?

Summer 2015 and Fall 2015 graduates will receive their University Commencement tickets in the mail from the Office of University Events in April. Summer 2015 and Fall 2015 graduates will pick up their Celebration tickets during the assigned ticket distribution times.

When will Celebration & Commencement tickets be handed out?

Tickets will be distributed in Phillips Hall, Room 209 on:

  • Wednesday, May 11, 1-7pm
  • Thursday, May 12, 12-4pm
  • Friday, May 13, 12-4pm

How do I complete the graduation survey?

Students can access the mandatory graduation survey here.

Where is the overflow seating for the CCAS Celebration Ceremonies?

Overflow seating will be available, in Duques 151/152, for guests attending Celebration without a ticket. In the overflow seating guests will view a live feed of the ceremony on a screen in the overflow seating space.

How do I apply to be the Commencement Speaker?

The competition is now closed.

How can I apply to be the Celebration Speaker?

The undergraduate Celebration Speaker are the students selected as the CCAS Distinguished Scholars. Distinguished Scholars nominees are nominated by faculty members and then selected by the CCAS Undergraduate Studies Committee.

How do I get my cap & gown?

Graduates can order regalia at the Commencement Fair.  If you missed the fair, visit the Commencement website for more information on ordering regalia.

When is the Commencement Fair?

Thursday, March 31st-Saturday, April 2nd. Times and additional information can be found here.

How do I check my diploma details?

Graduates can log into the GWeb Information System and update their diploma mailing address under the Personal Information Menu.  For more information visit the Office of the Registrar.

Who can I contact with ADA related concerns for the Celebration Ceremonies?

What ADA accommodations are available for the University Commencement Ceremony?

Information is provided on the Commencement website.

Will DVDs of the CCAS Celebration Ceremony and the University Commencement Ceremony be available to purchase?

Yes. They will be available for purchase. Information about that will be available on the Commencement website.

What GPA do I need to get Latin Honors?

Cum Laude is awarded to any student that has an overall GPA of a 3.4-3.59. Magna Cum Laude is awarded to any student that has an overall GPA of a 3.6-3.79. Summa Cum Laude is awarded to any student that has an overall GPA of a 3.8 or higher.

Does CCAS provide any cords for Latin Honors?

No.

Do I need a Celebration ticket or Commencement ticket for myself?

No.
